G.O’S MESSAGE:
Beloved brothers and sisters of The New Life Miracle Church, today, we embark on a journey to explore the immeasurable riches found in the promises of God. In a world of uncertainty and change, God’s promises stand as unshakeable pillars of truth, offering hope and security to all who trust in Him.
2 Peter 1:4 reveals the transformative power of God’s promises in our lives: “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” Let us unpack the significance of standing on God’s promises:
Exceeding Great and Precious Promises:
God’s promises are not ordinary; they are extraordinary, surpassing anything the world has to offer. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is filled with promises that speak to every aspect of life—promises of provision, protection, guidance, and salvation. 2 Corinthians 1:20 assures us, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
Partakers of the Divine Nature:
As we embrace God’s promises with faith and obedience, we become partakers of His divine nature. Through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, we are transformed into His likeness, reflecting His love, grace, and righteousness. Galatians 2:20 proclaims, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
Escaping the Corruption of the World:
God’s promises are our refuge and strength in a world tainted by sin and corruption. By clinging to His promises, we are delivered from the grip of darkness and set free to walk in the light of His truth and righteousness. Psalm 119:105 declares, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Claim God’s Promises:
Take time to study God’s Word and discover His promises for your life. Write them down, meditate on them, and declare them over your circumstances with unwavering faith.
Trust in His Faithfulness:
Remind yourself of God’s faithfulness in fulfilling His promises throughout history. Hebrews 10:23 encourages us, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)” Trust that He will remain faithful to His word, even when circumstances seem bleak.
Walk in Obedience: Obedience is the key to unlocking the blessings of God’s promises. As you align your life with His will and purpose, you position yourself to receive the fullness of His promises. James 1:22 admonishes us, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
In conclusion, standing on God’s promises is not a passive act but a bold declaration of faith in His unfailing goodness and love. As we anchor our lives on the bedrock of His promises, we become recipients of His divine nature, escaping the corruption of the world and experiencing His abundant blessings. Let us stand firm in faith, knowing that His promises are “yea and amen” in Christ Jesus.
Prayer Points:
