G.O’S MESSAGE:
Greetings, beloved brothers and sisters of The New Life Miracle Church! Today, we explore the profound truth that our words have the power to shape our reality. In a world where negativity and criticism abound, God calls us to use our words to speak life and blessing into every situation.
Proverbs 18:21 reveals the incredible power of our words: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” This verse underscores the importance of guarding our speech and using it to build up rather than tear down.
The Creative Power of Words:
Just as God spoke creation into existence, our words have the power to create and shape the world around us. When we speak life, blessing, and encouragement, we partner with God in His redemptive work. Genesis 1:3 declares, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
The Impact of Negative Words:
Conversely, negative words have the power to bring destruction and despair. Proverbs 12:18 warns, “There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.” Our words have the potential to wound or heal, to tear down or build up. Therefore, we must choose our words carefully, speaking with wisdom and grace.
Choosing Words of Life:
As believers, we are called to be agents of life and blessing in a world that desperately needs hope. Ephesians 4:29 exhorts us, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” Let us strive to speak words that uplift, encourage, and inspire others to draw closer to God.
Guard Your Speech: Take inventory of your words and ensure that they align with God’s truth and character. Before speaking, ask yourself if your words will bring life and blessing to those who hear them.
Speak Words of Encouragement: Look for opportunities to speak words of encouragement and affirmation to those around you. Your words have the power to breathe life into weary souls and inspire others to press on in their journey of faith.
Pray for Wisdom: Seek God’s wisdom and guidance in your speech. James 1:5 assures us, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your words and empower you to speak with love and grace.
In conclusion, our words have the power to build up or tear down, to bring life or death. Let us be mindful of the tremendous influence we have through our speech and commit to using our words to glorify God and edify others. May our tongues be instruments of life, blessing, and encouragement, reflecting the love and grace of our Heavenly Father.
Prayer Points:
Heavenly Father, help us to guard our speech and use our words to bring life and blessing to those around us.
Lord, forgive us for the times we have spoken words of negativity or criticism. Fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit and empower us to speak with wisdom and grace.
Father, open our eyes to the impact of our words and give us the courage to speak words of encouragement and affirmation to those in need.
Holy Spirit, guide us in our speech, that we may reflect the love and truth of Christ in all that we say.
Call to Salvation:
If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and desire to experience the power of His transformative words in your life, please pray this prayer with a sincere heart:
“Dear Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again. I invite You into my heart to be my Lord and Savior. Transform my speech and empower me to speak words of life and blessing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
We invite you to join us at The New Life Miracle Church, where we seek to speak life and blessing into every situation, reflecting the love and truth of Christ in all that we do.
